Cedar Crest Academy strives to teach students to be responsible, compassionate, and kind individuals. Beginning in our pre-primary program, students are engaged as a whole school around one specific character trait each month through our Ten Pillars of Character Education. The purpose of these pillars is to instill these character traits in our students at a young age.

In elementary, each month a character trait is emphasized in the classroom. Children rotate through a character education club each year, participate in CCA Kindness Week, their classroom economy as well as in various philanthropic opportunities throughout the year. Further, students also have the opportunity to participate as a leader in the Conflict Manager program created around Kelso’s Choices.

The Ten Pillars are:
