Monumental Stainless Steel Clock & Freestanding Sculptures
During our multi-year relationship providing custom metal fabrication for artist R.M. Fischer, Jaroff Design fabricated a number of metal sculptures following Rector Gate. For the Massachusetts State House, we fabricated a sculptural four-faced clock out of varied textures of stainless steel and mesh that typifies Fischer’s public sculptures. The Betsy, crafted out of decorative forged metals, including blackened steel, brass and stainless steel, is one of two freestanding works we made for Fischer. Evoking the more stream-lined, polished style of Art Deco, this sculpture is in the contemporary art collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
For the past thirty-eight plus years, Jaroff Design, under the management of founder Joseph Jaroff, has led the design, fabrication, installation and coordination of custom architectural glass and metal for the construction, architecture, interior design and art communities.
